Ibiza's had a tough ride this season. A month-long drugs-related shutdown at Amnesia, Bora Bora and DC10 (what, people take drugs in dance clubs. Nooo!), followed by the awful oil spill that closed down three of its main beaches. And, to top it off, a terrorist threat. Not exactly smooth sailing. |

Well, the worst is surely over. And we aren't going to let it interfere with our holiday. First port of call is Serena Cook - the island's most in demand 'concierge'. She can sort almost anything; but if her prices are a bit steep, then Up Hospitality should be able to help. Next, visit Ibiza Rocks, or head straight for Formentera's tiny Xueño, which - believe it or not - is where this year's hottest action seems to be taking place. Rather stay central? Check out new British additions to the white isle, including an All Saints boutique, a Jonathan Downey watering hole by the Base bar, and The Island's new Ibiza outpost. And lastly, if you're up for some non-house music fun, the 80s Ibiza
cult band LocoMia is having a bit of a revival - so bypass everything
else, and catch them if you can. |
