Recently, it seems that many airlines have been on a bit of a mission to reclaim some of the glamour that used to pervade their industry. Of course not everyone gets it right, so it's no surprise that Hooters Air (complete with hotpants and tight tees) grounded its rather lurid fleet last year after just three years of 'enhanced' in-flight hospitality. Hello Kitty
themed service offered by Taiwanese carrier Eva
Air. Everything, from the livery down to the meals and the boarding
cards, has been 'Kittyfied' to give you the ultimate airborn anime experience. |

More recently the glam music label Hed Kandi partnered with the slightly-less-glamorous Monarch Airlines to make-over a Boeing 757 in which to transport all their suitably hedonistic clientele to those destinations where a Hed Kandi party was taking place. They only fly to Ibiza so the choice is a bit limited but, hey, at least they're trying! So will the big boys follow suit? Cheap flights for the 'inexperienced' on Virgin? Free drinks for the less reserved individual on Easy Jet? Hmm, maybe not, eh. Fly Kandi flies to Ibiza from Luton |
