African waistcoats & an occasional ancient vintage piece were once the only clothing you could find in this noble little passage tucked behind Islington tube. |

When they took down most of the awning for the Antiques Market and moved the Farmers Market to the school, the residents of Islington didn't complain too much - although there were a few grumbles from the smaller stall holders - but things were much the same as they were before only with a spattering of modern shops interspersed with the old-school. Suddenly last week though, with one of fashion weeks quieter launches,
FrostFrench opened their first boutique (so it's not just a hobby then).
Then, another hoarding a few doors down has been painted and it would
seem that Reiss has decided on this passage for its flagship Accessories
store to match its shop up the road. |

Couple all this fashion with cafés like The Breakfast Club and erstwhile favourites like The Elk in the Woods, and it would seem that what was a quiet revolution is getting pretty loud. As long as the traditional set continue to thrive alongside all this new stuff then we couldn't be happier that this uncrowded little passage is tarting up. FrostFrench
