Pavla Kopecna: Hollywood Murders enacted by Paloma Faith
Have you never wanted to shoot Paloma Faith? We can remember her back in the days when she used to sing with rock 'n' roll boys The Penetrators, before she went all burlesque beauty and started appearing inside every leftfield art/trend mag you can shake a stick at. So needless to say that when we heard a rumour that ace photographer Pavla Kopecna was shooting murder scenes with the aforementioned chantreuse as her muse, we got all hot under our envious collars. Unfortunately, as it turns out, Miss Faith manages to look the gorgeous epitome of style even when she's dead.

Aidi at London Coliseum Event:
As part of their mission to breathe something fresh into the grand Italian opera of the 19th Century, the ENO's Music Director, Edward Gardner has led the creation of the company's first new production of Aida in more than two decades. With a cracking cast of some of Britain's finest stars, including Claire Rutter and John Hudson in the leading rolls, a full orchestra, and Zandra Rhodes's typically lavish designs, this massive and moving piece has been given all the love it deserves. And if you can't make it down this weekend, or those last tickets sell out before you get there, you really must keep trying: this will surely be an opera worth the effort.

Sat Nov 10, 6:30pm
Place:

London Coliseum, St Martin's Lane, WC2N 4ES

Xenz: The Law of Attraction
Calling Xenz a graffiti artist is akin to describing da Vinci as a painter. Yes, but no. The quasi-celebrity may have produced his floating cityscapes for a host of clients, and etched his sprawling, architectural lettering across the country. But if you can find your way down to the Forster gallery, Xenz's latest work will shake up your preconceptions about graffiti beautifully. Of all the subjects, he has set his styles on creating a rich, tropical landscape of winding tree boughs, bright, rapturous birds of paradise, and swarms of fluttering butterflies. Tucked into this East London side-street, who would have thought such an explosive fantasy-world might be summoned at the hands of this irrepressibly urban artist?
