Saucy cabaret in Soho
Set in the old Raymond Revuebar (the infamous Soho theatre and strip club), The Box is an offshoot of the much-loved Manhattan original, and an A-list antidote to London’s East End pool hall scene. Think thick red curtains, intimate piano bar and dark hallways and you’ll be on the right track. Book a table, plan to arrive around 11pm, and if the saucy cherubs on the bespoke wallpaper make you blush, wait until you see the cabaret. Vintage cognac and champagne cocktails help to lubricate the late-night fun.

Unless you’re an heir to the throne, a Premier League footballer or a supermodel, getting in can be difficult and expensive.
