Old school sophistication
It’s not about the food here (though the menu isn’t bad): the London glitterati flock to The Ivy for old school values and paparazzi-proof stained glass windows. All dark wood and leather banquettes, this is cosy fine dining at its best. British classics such as sausage and mash, roast chicken and the infamous shepherd’s pie are the dishes to go for, washed down with a glass or two of champagne. Go on early for a set menu that’s a steal, or late to mingle with the theatre crowd.
