This was one of the hot tickets at LFW. Cult designer/musician/artist Pam Hogg hasn’t shown here for over a decade, and everyone from Peaches Geldof to Siouxie Sioux was out in force to see her return.

It was clear there’s a lot of affection for Hogg, who first made her name in '80s clubland as one of the original Blitz Kids. Her outrageous glammed-up look feels really right again just now. Or, as Iain R Webb put it: “The whole of young London is doing what she did 25 years ago.”

And she didn’t disappoint. This was iconic Pam: metallic leggings, skintight PVC dresses and catsuits aplenty. From the moment Daisy Lowe opened the show, stalking down the catwalk in a giant rainbow-coloured fur and towering Terry de Havilland platforms you could tell this was going to be a good one.

There were superhero-style capes and see-through tops, with a dash of S&M for good measure: a flash of pink lace here, a bare-breasted model with shaved sideburns there. Jamie Winstone and Alice Dellal also appeared on the runway. So far, so Pam. But she had some surprises up her sleeve too. Her final piece was an elegant confection of black netting and ribbons – with plenty of flesh on show of course – and she finished to a standing ovation.

Backstage, everyone was buzzing. Hogg cracked open the champagne as she summoned all her models together. "All the girls – come to the studio to get some clothes," she yelled. "And let’s party!"

Welcome back to Fashion Week Pam.We missed you.
