The Boat Race
No matter what your collegiate alliances (and let’s face it, the majority of us are neither Cambridge nor Oxford alums) it’s always fun to brace the banks of the Thames and watch lycra-clad boys battle it out on the water. This rowing duel has been going on since 1829, and with Oxford winning last year’s match but Cambridge in an overall lead of 79 to 75 races, it’s a tight-run thing. Just keep your nose out of your hamper for long enough to watch them cross the finish line, ok? This isn’t a purely social occasion after all!
