Arthur Baker

Legendary DJ, record producer, and man about town

In his own words “a full-time professional beach bum,” the seminal Boston-born DJ, producer, writer, and more recently documentary film maker, has his fingers in so many pies than we’ve begun to lose track. He’s produced, arranged, mixed and remixed for everyone from Afrika Bambaataa to New Order, Bob Dylan to this year’s cracking Hurts remix, ‘Wonderful Life’. Despite being based in London these days, his love affair with Ibiza has been burning strong for the last nine years.

Arthur Baker’s Top Tips

  1. El Chiringuito was the site of our wedding day: beautiful beach and amazing food, including the best burrata outside of Italy. And Camí de Balàfia, which was where we had our pre-wedding dinner. The best rustic spot for lamb chops, tomatoes and chips ever.
  2. Hit Café Mambo for the sunsets, the DJs and the great ‘mambros’ – Christian and Alan Anadon, and their dad Javier – gracious guests and amazing to hang with…
  3. You always find us on Pacha’s outdoor terrace and by the dancefloor when either Defected or various Frenchies are at the decks.
