Aubergine
A farm-to-table concept from the Atzaro Group
Aubergine is one of those places that’s yummy whether you’re veggie or not. Yes, there are a few meat and fish dishes – the scallop salad with orange and pomegranate and the aubergine stuffed with Turkish-style beef and lamb are particularly good – but this is a true farm-to-table place. The proof is in the extensive garden right outside the restaurant, and, if you’ve been to Atzaro, the acres of orange groves on the grounds.
Top tip: Pick up a bottle of the brand’s Orangello liqueur: it’s a nice, locally made souvenir (or gift if you’re seeking an alternative to hierbas).
