With its crystal-clear water and lack of cell phone service, Cala d’en Serra is one of those places the locals hate to see written up as they’d prefer to keep it to themselves. Don’t be deterred by the abandoned hotel on your way down to the water: it is, admittedly, an eyesore, but the chilled-out vibe below is as serene as it gets on the island. The menu is basic but what more do you need than beer, burgers and quiet?

Top Tip:
Be prepared for a bad, bumpy road and a steep hill you’ll need to navigate by foot to the beach. Stick to it, though—your reward is well worth the short hike.
