Cala d’Hort (Es Vedra)

Prime viewing for the mystical Es Vedra

This boomerang-shaped beach is one of our favourites, not just for its laid-back atmosphere and lush green surroundings, but because it’s our go-to viewpoint to see the magical islet of Es Vedra. Mysticism and mystery surrounds the little island’s presence, having been called the last vestige of Atlantis as well as Homer’s inspiration for the sirens in The Iliad. Whatever it is, there is something magnetic about the 400m high rock and this is the place to check it out with a plate of paella in hand.

Top Tip:
Go for a long swim and be drawn in by the magnetism of Es Vedra as the sun goes down.
