Italian countryside restaurant for real foodies

Homegrown vegetables, wild line-caught fish and fresh pasta made daily are all part of the labour of love that is Cicale. On the Sant Joan road in the San Lorenzo countryside, this incredible restaurant is housed in a 200-year-old finca which was taken over and renovated in 2006 by the Italian owners, Micheala and Paolo. With the menu changing on a daily basis – ricotta and chive filled ravioli with clams or baked sea-bass with local olives, anyone? – the restaurant serves daytime brunches and roasts on Sundays.

Top Tip:
Order the speciality coffee – cold and creamy with a dash of your favourite liqueur
