Debut restaurant from chef, organic farmer & author Anne Sijmonsbergen

You’d recognise her cookbook ‘Eivissa: The Ibiza Cookbook’ (#UJLoves its decorative, tile-like cover), and now, its author, Anne Sijmonsbergen has opened El Portalon in the Dalt Vila in partnership with restaurateur Justin Mallett. Rustic and cozy, El Portalon has an indoor bar and dining area, plus a spacious terrace that seats 40. Try signature dishes such as Chateaubriand tenderloin, Ibizan squid with sobrasada, or courgette flowers stuffed with ricotta and fennel – all using local ingredients and produce from Can Riero, Anne’s organic farm.

Top Tip:
There are plenty of quality Spanish and European wines available here, but start your evening with an Ibiza-inspired cocktail made with homemade ingredients such as plum and apricot puree (from Anne’s farm, of course).
