In just a few short years, La Dispensa has become synonymous with everything we love about the Dalt Vila: shabby chic-yet-cool ambience and good food and drinks. It’s also made up of a boutique and three separate dining concepts, so you have plenty of choice: La Madre is the original; La Cueva is a go-to for special occasions; and El Sushi features excellent sushi and fusion cuisine.

Top tip: Come here for an excellent Sunday brunch, then check out their boutique, Taller Creativo, for unique fashion and design pieces, but bear in mind they honour Spanish siesta hours between 2 and 6pm (though private appointments are also available).
