Las Salinas
Hipsterish but authentic beach scene
A favourite with the DJ crowd and Ibiza regulars, Las Salinas – just ten minutes drive from Ibiza Town – manages to retain its authentic and divine beach feel while mixing in that all-important cool factor. There’s no better way to spend the late afternoon than strolling across the rocks from one sandy inlet to another for wonderfully satisfying but laidback people watching. While away glorious hours diving off rocks, swimming out to the deep dark blue patches then drying out just to start all over again. Should you need to refuel, there are four restaurants (UJ loves Jockey Club and Sa Trincha) at hand with music, sun loungers, table service and even showers and lockers.
Top Tip:
We love the plank of wood that acts as a walkway straight into the sea – which is particularly salty and easy to float in thanks to the beach’s proximity to its namesake salt flats. Watch out for the jellyfish though.
