As well-known for his talent as his charming personality, Paul Merritt remains one of London’s leading hairstylists. After appearing on Channel 4’s The Salon show and setting up the Bloww hair studio, he has since gone it on his own, launching his own eponymous salon and working on everything from French GQ to Vogue Russia. Paul has been an Ibiza regular since those days when, in his own words, “it was all about the LOVE,” and returning over the years to catch-up on old friendships – and now for the convenience of long weekends in the island’s legendary sun.

Paul Merritt’s Top Tips

1. Macao Café is a true little gem. It’s on Playa Es Codolar, just behind the local shop, serves up great food and is generally very cool…
2. Go to Es Cavallet then make your way to the very last restaurant: La Escollera. You can’t drive any further so it’s easy to find – it makes an amazing end to any day.
3. Location, location, location! And the same rule applies here in Ibiza. My favorite spot without a doubt has to be my mate’s villa (www.rentibizavilla.com) above Cala Jondal.
