Pete Tong needs no introduction. Aside from his reign as a top DJ for the last 20 years, his role as Radio 1’s host to its dance programming means he’s also an industry icon, thanks to his ear for new talent. This year, he’s most excited about the underground sound of Icarus from Bristol, the tropical house beats of Kygo and newcomer Patrick Topping, recently signed to Jamie Jones’ label. A regular to Ibiza (this year he’ll be flip flopping between Pacha, the Amnesia Terrace and Sankeys), he believes Ibiza is going back to its heyday with the rise of the underground: “DC10 is a wonderful, crazy factory, which keeps creating people from the underground. It’s part of everyone’s schooling.”

2. The Fish Shack is simply amazing – it’s an eccentric part of Ibiza that people should try.

3. Es Torrent – for a more high end experience that’s still down to earth. The same chef has been there for 20 years. The fish cooked in salt is classic Ibiza.
