Pou des Lleó

Small, sheltered, and a good refuge away from the crowds

This small, rocky cove about 15 minutes past San Carlos doesn’t have much, but its gravel shores are breathtaking and most people don’t come here to sunbathe, opting instead to eat seafood at Fonda Pou des Lléo just around the bend. The water is intensely green here, and old huts and fishing boats dot the cove; small boats are also often seen here – a good option if you’re considering chartering a boat for the day and have already done the Formentera loop.

Top tip: This beach is a must if you like (or like Instagramming) the throwback feel of traditional fisherman’s huts.
