Sa Caleta

DIY mud spa in a magical setting

Surrounded by its signature red rock faces, this southern stunning beach in the south is considered one of the island’s most magical spots. Protected from gusts of wind (and phone signal – no point bringing your mobile here), the balmy atmosphere and still waters mean it’s popular with families and snorkeling kids, whilst nudists tend to hang out on the headland. Most of all, however, you’ll find people scraping the terracotta clay off the cliffs and using it for impromptu spa treatments thanks to its supposedly healing properties.

Top Tip:
You’ll find one of the best chiringuitos on the island here, open 365 days and serving delicious Spanish seafood. Wander a little further around the cove and hit the fisherman’s huts for fresh catch of the day haulage.
