Ses Balandres

Have trainers, up for a climb?

Not for the faint of heart (or for anyone who likes to bring everything but the kitchen sink to the beach), Ses Balandres is in the north of the island, near Santa Agnes. From the Pla de Corona road, you’ll see an old well on a hill, followed by a stone fence just beyond the houses. Keep following this path through the forest until you spot the shore – then from there, it’s a difficult, 45-minute climb down the cliff using an old wooden ladder and ropes installed years ago by local fishermen. The reward: a small, pebble beach and pristine waters – and hardly a soul around.

Top tip: It’s a steep climb down but can feel like an even steeper one up – give yourself 60 minutes for the uphill journey.
