Toni Tambourine first visited Ibiza in 1988 when he just 18. Falling instantly in love with the island – and the kooky people he met and extraordinary places he went – he says: “It was a very different place back then but the scene had already started. It was just after Lil Louis’ ‘French Kiss’ had broken and it was a magical time.”

Toni Tambourine’s Top Tips

1. Eat seafood at Amante. It is a restaurant that is perched on a cliff overlooking the Sol D’En Serra bay, surrounded by dramatic rocks and lush greenery. Stunning food, stunning view.
2. Catch the sunset at Café Mambo in San Antonio. As well as having every big DJ play there before their main club set elsewhere on the island (you can see Bob Sinclair here and Swedish House Mafia for free) it is the most stunning sunset site.
3. Sunbathe naked on Salinas Beach, it is at the southern most tip of the island and the most popular with celebrities. It is also a beautiful party beach. Don’t be shy – it is also a nudist beach so you can leave your Speedos at home.
