Is interior design the new rock and roll? Er, probably not.

But if Established & Sons have anything to do with it, we could be looking at something of revolution in an industry which has been dominated by the likes of Ikea and Jasper Conran for far too long.

Established & Sons is the brainchild of the nauseatingly successful and ludicrously monikered Alasdhair Willis (ex-Publishing Director of Wallpaper* and Stella McCartney's other half) and it looks like he's on to another winner.

The idea behind the company is to unite some of the brightest minds in British design and then throw enough financial backing their way until they produce some of the most stylish and downright drool-inducing furniture you'll ever see.

The über team of design talent (a mix of the established and the up-and-coming including Barber Osgerb, Zaha Hadid and Michael Young) have just taken the prestigious Milan Design Week by storm with their range of practical-yet-beautiful items, which include a convex wall mirror and a folded alimunium table lamp.

So look out Sweden and stand back Jasper, because the new wave is here and they make a mean sofa!
