Seven years ago, after a rocking Islington house party blew away what the increasingly corporate mainstream clubs were offering, a group of discerning clubbers set about creating a new party agenda. The result was the now legendary Kink parties, housed in an abandoned wood factory in Shoreditch and which - reliant on word of mouth only - delivered an escape from lazy DJs, extortionate door entry and arrogant security.

After the venue was re-developed three years ago Kink morphed into Blah, which now holds four hotly anticipated parties a year (still never advertised) in the dark and dirty vaults of the Electrowerkz warehouse in Angel. And due to the massive interest generated by February's sold-out event, Blah tonight extends its closely guarded franchise for the first time to Kings Cross venue, The Key. Although it's Kings Cross and a more commercial venue, The Key is decadent, has one of London's best sound-systems and is sure to attract, as always, an eclectic crowd. Blah favourite Frank 'dope' Tope guests in the main room playing all things house with Room 2 hosted by Funk Royale delivering bass, funk and disco classics. Billed as 'clubbing for grown-ups organised by children' (and with a strict no free guest list or VIP room policy), Blah exists for one reason only - the party.
