So you wanna make it big in the movies? If you're looking to crack Hollywood, there's an easier, more dignified way than prostituting your soul on a Sunday morning youth TV show, with dubiously talented ex Hollyoaks cast members: you could join the Stellar Network.

The non-profit creative-networking organisation is looking for a stellar cast (see what I did there!) of young celluloid, TV and theatre hopefuls to come and take part in a series of workshops and talks next week. It should be pointed out that this is not one glorified open audition to find the next Ashton Kutcher or Suranne Jones (god forbid) but for those on the other side of the camera, i.e., writers, directors, etc. Led by serious industry bigwigs (like the producer from 'Four Weddings and a Funeral' etc), there's a writers workshop on the 10th and an open 'Off The Record' discussion for emerging creative talent on the 11th. These networking events may be a little too akin to joining a speed dating circuit for some, but let's face it, desperate times and all that. And hey, it's a damn site cheaper and quicker than doing a Masters in Film.
