Once the reserve of the financially well endowed, you can now get your own hand-blended scent for less than the price of getting your sweat glands removed.

Lynx, who are fresh from polluting the land with the rancid stench of adolescence, have hooked up with oki-ni, to offer an exclusive new fragrance service, only available to 100 people. For a somewhat dubiously reasonable £100, customers will have their own signature eau de toilette created by award winning Parisian perfumers, after a consultation in London.

However, they aren't the only ones who have sniffed out this made to measure trend. Perfume boutique Scent Systems have introduced a bespoke service with Aroma Sciences, and for £150 (refills £75), you get a private consultation and 17.5ml of your own scent.

But for something truly elite, treat yourself to Haute Perfumer Roja Dove at Harrods' Urban Retreat, who will knock you up a uniquely personal fragrance for the more indulgent price of £20,000. Which I suspect may be nicer than the perfume he has created to launch a new Siemens mobile phone.

However, I'm waiting for a bespoke Lalique aftershave bottle, as it's all about the packaging for me.
