Let's face it, no one wants to live in the poxy Thames Estuary, even if they build a lightspeed nuclear monorail to get us out of there and into Proper London, so the solutions to our space problems are going to have to be ever more ingenious. |

Need a store but can't find a space - create one. Today sees the opening of an ingenious pop-up Tsubi store within The Shop at Bluebird. The Sydney-based denim dudes have erected a Wendy House-cum-store featuring stained glass windows and irreligious iconography, selling their limited-edition Tsubi T-shirts, customised jeans and a world exclusive preview of the collaboration between Tsubi and Jeremy Scott. If it's homespace you covet rather than retail, then Loftcube, the conservatory-cum-spaceship that sits on your roof and acts as a kind of upward extension, could be ideal. For something less permanent, Zendomes bring a touch of the Eden project to your garden for oh-so-modern alfresco meetings. If playtime is more your thing, look to the very now Treehouse Co for palatial tree-houses; or go all Ewok with Free Spirits, the spherical apartment pods in the sky; or you could revert to the good old garden shed with Metroshed, because when you think about it, you're better off living in a nice shed than Gravesend.
