Everything's Boring.

You know, it's very easy to find yourself doing the same thing, round about the same place, as round about the same time last year. And waking up with similar hangovers having done nothing very memorable at all really.

In short, we're wasting our lives away doing nothing remarkable. May I suggest therefore that we all enter this Saturday's Paddy Power World Strip Poker Championship at the Café Royal. It should, if nothing else, lodge in the memory.

There seems to be a bit of nudie trend lately (streakers at Wimbledon, Channel Four's 'wankathon', the World Naked Bike Ride), and this event, which started out as an April Fool's press release, is another example of boredom leading to nakedness - and why not? Entrants will play No Limit Texas Hold'em for a winner takes all prize of £10,000, and the intention is to set a record for the largest ever game of strip poker.

The winner will also get free entry to the Irish Poker Open with a prize fund in excess of £1m. With proper prize money at stake this event is bound to draw some proper poker heads, alongside the pervs, and the plain bored.
