Beautification Project Week Five I get back from Fashion Week in Paris basically clutching my liver in pain. All the steak and frites a girl can eat and on someone else's tab. Pure heaven, apart from the vicious champagne and burgundy hangovers. |

Since Taryn is away, Jonny comes to my house, meaning that I get an extra hour in bed. Bliss. This week we are concentrating on the lower body - whereas the next session will be all about the upper. The session feels quite easy, though there is less time to rest in between exercises as Taryn isn't fake-counting her way through her sessions. At the end, I actually tell Jonny that we might need to step it up for the next session. The next morning, I regret those words. I'm limping and hobbling. All other 'get healthy' regimes I've tried in the past have left me hungry, irritable and exhausted, but this is so easy that I could stick with it and still keep up with my social alcoholism. All that stuff they fed us in PE about exercise making you feel better and more confident is true. Who knew? Embarrassingly, I'm starting to get obsessed with my body.
On a date, I catch myself in the mirror and I'm startled: I actually
look slimmer. Sure, it's a good mirror but I feel I'm getting, um, tighter
is the closest word to explaining it. |

And for fun, when I'm sitting at my desk, I clench and unclench my new thigh and stomach muscles. God, I'm sad. For more info on Lomax PT, check out www.lomaxpt.com |
