With the new gaming legislation in place, casinos, it seems, are the order of the day and cropping up all over London, giving us all the chance to get dolled up and have a flutter when the mood takes us.

Not to be outdone, the fabulously named Palm Beach Casino has employed the services of fusion chef David Laval to create such high-rollers as Thai seafood laksa with lobster and caviar and soft shell crab in lemongrass and saffron sauce.
