A while back we at UJ put out a call for some quality breakfast establishments, which don't concentrate on watery tomatoes and tinned baked beans. Well, we're chuffed about the offerings around town. |

Have you been to the Breakfast Club café on D'Arblay Street yet? If not, you should make plans to visit. The food is great, from saintly salads to perfect pastries and guilty fried breakfasts. The perfect weekday hangover cure for those still too drunk for the office. Worried about your swimsuit figure? The smoothie selection is out of this world. We recommend the Green Giant; there's no sweetcorn in it, honest. But if you're looking for something a bit more substantial, then try
and pop down tomorrow morning when the Likemind
collective will be visiting. Established initially in NYC and now quickly
spreading to most major cities worldwide, Likemind
is an informal attempt to get creative people together to have a chat
over coffee. |

There's really not much more to it than that, but the simple ideas are usually the best. When you add the sweetener of a free coffee (and the Breakfast Club coffee is almost as good as their smoothies) then I think you'll agree, breakfast might just be the most important meal of the day. As long as it's followed by a substantial lunch and gluttonous dinner. Likemind at
