For some of the most authentic tapas in London, José is the place to go. A tiny corner restaurant on the infamous Bermondsey Street, you can perch on a high stool or stand at the counter and pretend you’re sipping cava and eating tapas on Las Ramblas. Match your jamón ibérico, hake with allioli or Spanish meatballs with one of the many sherries on offer (the staff will be more than happy to recommend) and check out the daily specials using ingredients from the market nearby.
Top Tip:
If you can’t squeeze into José, head down the road to sister restaurant Pizarro.
