Atlantis
Secret beach full moon parties
A secretive islander pact has so far left Atlantis off most maps, but with the hype has come the tourists, meaning this rocky beach at the bottom of a sheer cliff face isn’t as quiet as it once was. However it’s still no mean feat for the faint hearted. Find it down and to the left from Torre de Savinar and you could be enjoying views across to Es Vedra and, as one of the island’s most mystical spots, full moon parties with fellow revelers. Look out for the stone inscription left by a Japanese hippy more than 30 years ago: ‘May everyone be happy in life’ underneath the image of an Asian god.
Top Tip:
Be prepared to slip as the walk down can be arduous and the walk back up sweaty! Cheat’s advice – get a boat to chauffeur you around from a more accessible beach.
