The recently opened Chezz Gerdi on Es Pujols beach, on the north side of the island, welcomes families, artists and hippies alike. A divine chiringuito (a sort of beach cabana bar!) with lounge beds on decking for drinking and snacking, the accompanying restaurant serves Mediterranean dishes with an Asian twist. Keep an eye out for the owner who can often be found flitting from table to table serving up a sparkling dessert wine. Lively and friendly, the restaurant offers a wide range of pasta and meat dishes, pizzas and raw undressed crispy vegetables for the veggies. There’s also a raw fish bar with sushi and sashimi and a barbecue station. Like the rest of the island, very popular with Italians, so if your Spanish is wanting, try a few words of Italiano!
