Domenico Ruggeri is the GM of the IMS, which finds itself in its new home this year, the Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza, from May 21-23. His first trip to the island back in 2007 – a mid-season holiday that brought him back for the closing parties that same year – has now led to seven summers. “Not sure where time has gone, but it’s been incredible! I’m blessed to work with some amazing people in the electronic music industry. In Ibiza, love is all around and the more you let Ibiza play its course, the more it gives back.”

Domenico Ruggeri’s Top Tips

1. For the best meat mix grill on the island you can’t beat Camí de Balàfia. Their onion and tomato salad is something else. So tasty!
2. Afternoon sessions at the Fish Shack in Sa Punta with the best gambas rojas and their fresh fish are what it’s all about. Wear your swimmers – the rock jump into the ocean to cool down while your food gets cooked is a hangover cure.
3. Calla Xucla up north has some of the bluest water on the island. Walk around the rocks and dive in. There’s a small fish restaurant with a few tables – if you’re lucky, they’ll have some food left to serve.
