Kate Spicer
Leading London journalist/broadcaster and documentary filmmaker
A journalist and broadcaster based in London, Kate Spicer first visited the island in 1987. Hooked from the start, she heads to Ibiza for the chilled vibe mixed with a unique kind of hedonism – “It’s that sedative in the air which keeps you chilled and you can glide through your stay just blissed out the whole time… it’s the island life, combined with a kind of dissolute abandon which is infectious.” She has recently swapped writing for filmmaking, heading up the documentary Mission To Lars.
Kate Spicer’s Top Tips
- Tina Cutler, is a healer who can sort you out when it all gets a bit much. She even has a take away remedy called TLC specifically aimed at fixing shall we call it ‘Ibiza problems’. Splash it all over yourself.
- Verity’s Smith’s Ibiza Superfoods will keep you super nourished. A daily juice with some of their disco mix booster will give you the edge on the wally guzzling red bull
- World Entourage, for the island’s – if not the world’s – most discreet and clued-up drivers.
