For affordable self-catering, you really can’t go wrong with Las Dunas Playa. Run by a local family (keep an eye out for the good looking family members!) the resort is set in pine groves on Mitjorn beach, just metres away from soothing rolling waves. Super laidback and easygoing, this small resort of studios, bungalows and apartments is carefully broken up so as not to spoil the landscape while still managing to provide guests with everything they need – a highly-recommended restaurant, supermarket, swimming pool with a safe area for kids, scooters for hire and even a laundry service. The kitchens are fully equipped for hassle free home cooking including a microwave and the bathrooms have that most handy of items, a hairdryer.

Top Tip:
Ask for a double bed if you’re a couple, so you don’t have to push together two singles.
