Those looking for soft sand to dig their toes into need not apply. Punta Galera (there are two – make sure to head west for this one) is more of a cliffy outcrop with rock platforms jutting over the turquoise sea. There are almost no facilities to speak of, just the island’s most hardcore sun worshippers – a lack of shade means you’re never out of the glare. Bring plenty of water or take a daring leap off the highest spots into the sparkling sea.

Top Tip:
The flat rocks are great for sunbathing in peace.
