Boy, it's cold outside. My flatmate and I had to actually fiddle with the boiler for the first time this year. And we're girls! Seriously risky business - if you ask us - but the boiler guy is playing hard to get after we called him last week to change a light bulb. (What!?! He's a man. It involved a ladder. He knows HOW.)

What's more? It seems that our favourite addiction - the scented candle - is getting a pretty bad rap. It seems that certain, albeit cheaper, candles could soon be labelled with fire hazard warnings as they're responsible for numerous house fires, as well as being possibly carcinogenic when made from paraffin wax. Ouch!

While this make take the heat (sorry) off our other favourite addiction: the cigarette, we are a little concerned how we're going to light the bedroom. The torch beneath the duvet just doesn't cause the same ambiance and, with certain gentlemen, can cause a little size/stiff envy.
