Museum of Anthropology
If you're interested in the study of humanity, you'll like it here at the recently renovated Museum of Anthropology. Home to objects from all over the world, from Asia to Africa, the museum hosts thought provoking exhibitions, as well as a great gift shop and cafe. And if you're not so interested in the science, but are one for views, you'll find something to appreciate in the location, on the edge of the beautiful University of British Columbia campus UBC and close to the famous Wreck Beach (a nudist beach with lots of pot pushing too). If you have a car, it's worth driving from Jericho Beach to the museum, as the beachfront ocean views, especially at night, are pretty special.
