If you feel like the whole Rocky experience, check out the Rocky Mountaineer. Offering a range of packages/routes through the Rockies, go for the Gold Leaf if you have a couple of days to spare. The roof of the train is glass and really helps you take in the scenery from 360 degrees. Ask for a seat near the front, and don't miss the open-air platform (if you're going to sightsee, might as well do it right). Short of time? Then look at the daily routes from Vancouver to Whistler, so you'll at least get a taste of what the experience is all about..
