Jacob Kimmie
A fashion industry rags to riches story, South African Jacob overcame many obstacles to achieve his lifelong ambition to become a fashion designer. Inspired by Madonna's pumpkin wedding dress at the age of 12, Jacob eventually got accepted in the acclaimed Natal Technikon College. Due to financial difficulties, he left and began making clothes for private clients and selling garments to an underground rave boutique. After visiting London in 2000, he was exposed to the fantasy of the British Fashion industry. Now based in Birmingham, he set up 'Van Doncke And The Devil' in 2005 offering 'La Femme De Merville' as his first collection. Encompassing luxury, his designs are about longevity and surpassing boundaries with beautifully made clothes.
