UFFR presents VASSA
UFFR acts as a bridge for both, the established and upcoming designers of Russia, CIS and internationally, facilitating not only cultural and business links, but a wider, more open experience of this unique and dynamic form of art.
Vassa first appeared in New York City in 1996 and by 2000 Vassa already operated an extensive network of stores in Moscow. Regarded as Russia's most avant-garde designer, Vassa's new collection travels in time as far back as the medieval era and returns to the 1960s and 1970s, fascinated by the early Halston and Geoffrey Beene. She draws on polarities as her trademark: asceticism and sexuality, hedonism and spirituality, geometry and entropy, contrast of texture and form, and black and white. In 2005, Vassa received the honorary Brand of the Year award.
