Sandbar
Farm fresh ingredients on the island.
Granville Island is best known for its bustling fresh food market and as such, it's only natural that this Granville-placed institution should pick all of its ingredients fresh from the door. With a wood-burning grill, forno oven and wok station in the kitchen, you can have your catch of the day any way you like it. The restaurant is a super chilled out (think a wood cabin with high ceilings and waterside location) laid back den of simple pleasures, placed right on the water underneath the bridge - though you won't find any trolls down here, more a fun-loving crowd who'll return for the live DJ and dancing sessions come the weekend. We say get a table outside, ask for a blanket, and settle in under a heat-lamp for a night under the stars.
Top Tip / UJ Loves: Mussel Mania is a great way to pack in the barnacles and beer for ten bucks, Monday-Friday between 4pm and 7pm.
